The Front Porch is an intimate restaurant featuring creative American Cuisine located in historic downtown Leonardtown. Set within the Sterling House, we offer casual dining in a cozy atmosphere and our friendly staff delivers gracious service. We serve as a gathering place for the community where all are welcomed to enjoy fresh, quality ingredients at an affordable price.
Our décor’ is warm with photography depicting local scenes of St. Mary’s County while the “shadow box” on the walls is host to the artifacts found in the house during the renovation. Original hardwood floors, period molding, and fireplaces highlight the natural splendor of the house providing a relaxed dining experience.
Our menu includes a broad selection of starters, soups, sandwiches, salads, and entrées. We offer daily specials, feature seasonal ingredients, local produce, and boast an ever changing dessert menu.
The “back room” at The Front Porch showcases over 40 varieties of wine, while our bar presents Specialty Drinks, Boutique beer, along with your traditional cocktails.
We take great pride in our restaurant, the heritage of this house, and we warmly invite you to enjoy The Front Porch at the Sterling House.
